Investigations
When on an investigation with California Ghost Hunters, please dress and act professional. C.G.H. is invited to perform many private investigations and our clients expect and deserve our courteously at all times. Please do not joke around, cause distractions, or make a scene in front of the client.
We use a DVR system with cameras to collect evidence as well as digital cameras, hand=held video cameras, EMF detectors, digital thermometer, digital voice recorders, and various other equipment needed to properly conduct an investigation of possible paranormal activity. Training opportunities will be available to all C.G.H. members.
C.G.H. investigations usually last between four and six hours, not including setup and breakdown (which members are required to do). You may also be asked to drive to the locations we are investigating, although we make every effort to carpool as often as possible. Sometime carpooling is not realistic or an option, in which case, it is your responsibility to arrive at the location on time and prepared to investigate.
Any evidence obtained at a C.G.H. investigation becomes the property of California Ghost Hunters. It is not necessary to have access to or own equipment in order to be part of California Ghost Hunters. However, any equipment you borrow from C.G.H. must be returned in the same condition as it was when loaned out to you. If equipment is damaged or lost, you will be responsible for paying or replacing the equipment in question. Your articipation in C.G.H. may be suspended until retribution is made.
Please understand, not everyone can go on every case every time. Every effort will be made to rotate team members participation and to allow different members to participate on a variety of cases, according to each members strengths, abilities as well as based upon their weaknesses.
If a certain member or members are asked to participate in a particular investigation or case, it is because they bring something specifically needed for that particular instance. Please do not be offended, your time will come!
C.G.H. Team Meetings
Team meetings are scheduled as they are needed. Most team meetings are held in Lake Forest, CA., unless stated differently. At C.G.H.meetings, the team discusses possible future group activities, participate in training and practice sessions using the various equipment needed during and after an investigation, plan and firm up plans for the coming month, and discuss anything else the group feels is important.
All work and no play make ghost hunters crabby! Not California Ghost Hunters though! We try to schedule fun nights out about once where the entire group can go together and hang out, have some laughs and fun. It will be a group decision as to where we go and what we do. It’s a lot of fun, and in the process we get to know each other better.
Know of fun place? Great! Suggest it at the next team meeting. Speaking of meetings- they are mandatory. If you can not make a meeting, you need to inform either myself or one of the Case Managers. The fun nights out are non-mandatory, but you may be sorry you missed it!
Reviewing Evidence
Reviewing evidence will be done at the end of each case. You will be asked to help review the evidence from any private cases California Ghost Hunters. handles. If you have evidence from a private investigation, you must present the evidence within two weeks of obtaining it. If you are given evidence to take home to review you are responsible for that evidence. If you need help in completing the review of the evidence, please let us know right away, so someone may help complete the review. Being tardy or remiss in turning in evidence may result in forfeiting your opportunity to participate in the next scheduled investigation.
Accurate and authentic evidence is very important to an investigation, not only to California Ghost Hunters as a team, but to the client as well. If I or any member of C.G.H. believes evidence has been altered or faked in any way, it will result in the offender or offenders immediate and permanent expulsion from C.G.H.
Other
We have a lot of fun doing what we do. We are good friends and are ready to support one another when needed. If you feel you want to help us to help people with paranormal problems and can contribute your time and money (you will have to pay for your own expenses, gear if you so choose to buy your own which is recommended and other costs we incur while ghost hunting.) please fill out the questionnaire bellow. We are looking for members that want to learn and have fun and aren’t afraid of some hard work as well. On private investigations you will not be allowed to bring any one who is not approved by the group along. You also have to be able to handle the physical demands of ghost hunting as well. We do a lot of walking and some climbing, so if you are not in good physical shape you might want to consider that. If you don't want to go on investigations and just want to help us out by breaking down evidence and contributing other ways please contact us as well. We are looking for serious people that really want to help the group. Again, please fill out the application completely or it will not be reviewed.
